Preschool Press
In September, our Preschool students went to the Tuscarawas County Fair. The students were able to drink fresh milk, listened to a story by the library, rode the carousel, ate a snack, saw an exhibit on fire safety presented by the local Fire Department.
In October, our Preschool students had fun with their unit on apples. Besides making yummy applesauce and eating it, the students were involved in other fun activities with apples. The students graphed what was their favorite type of apple. (Red, Yellow, or Green) Another fun math activity with apples was sorting the different types of apples. An art activity with apples included using apples as stamps to create their beautiful artwork.
Lions, Tigers, and BEARS, Oh My! Preschool learned so much during their unit on bears. With blocks and shapes, the students were able to build excellent habitats for their bear friends. The students were able to also create bear masterpieces with collage materials and play dough tools. Yet, the preschoolers favorite thing to do with their bears is to cozy up with the furry friends during games and storytime.
December proved to be a busy month as students anticipated a long winter break and celebrating the various holidays over the break. Prior to break, the students had the chance to decorate their own gingerbread houses. Some of the creations, were even good enough to eat!
